A national law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join its established and well‑regarded Employment team. The firm advises clients across the health, social care, life sciences, charity and social enterprise sectors, supporting organisations facing complex workforce, regulatory and organisational challenges.

The team works on a wide range of advisory and contentious matters, regularly assisting with innovative and sector‑shaping projects, organisational restructures, complex workforce issues and high‑profile litigation.

The Role

You will work on a varied caseload spanning both contentious and non‑contentious employment work. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing day‑to‑day employment advisory support.
  • Handling complex Employment Tribunal claims, including high‑profile or sensitive matters.
  • Advising on reorganisations, redundancy programmes and workforce change projects.
  • Working on matters involving sector‑specific regulations, particularly within health and social care.
  • Collaborating with senior lawyers across a national team structure.
  • The role offers exposure to the full spectrum of employment law and the opportunity to build a strong specialist practice with support from experienced partners.

    The Team

The Employment group operates nationally and supports clients across the health and social care ecosystem – including providers, commissioners, regulators and policy‑setting bodies. The team is known for fast, practical and clear sector‑led advice and for its strong internal collaboration across multiple offices.

    Candidate Profile

    Ideal candidates will bring:

  • 1-3 years’ PQE in employment law.
  • Experience advising clients in the health, social care or third sectors; NHS experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience managing Employment Tribunal litigation and contentious employment files.
  • Interest in business development, supported by a dedicated internal client services function.
  • Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and a proactive, client‑focused approach.
  • Culture & Benefits

The firm promotes a collaborative and supportive working culture and aims to be an excellent place to build a long‑term legal career. Benefits include:

  • Holiday purchase scheme
  • Private health insurance
  • Life assurance and critical illness cover
  • Season ticket loans
  • Cycle‑to‑work scheme
  • A broad range of additional wellbeing and lifestyle benefits
  • The firm is committed to equality, diversity and inclusive recruitment, encouraging applications from all backgrounds.
