A large and well-organised secondary school in the Leeds area is seeking a calm, highly organised Attendance, Behaviour & Safeguarding Administrator to join its pastoral and safeguarding team. This is a vital role supporting student wellbeing, attendance improvement and safeguarding processes across the school.

The Role

Working closely with senior leaders, pastoral staff and external agencies, you will manage attendance monitoring, behaviour recording and safeguarding administration. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely communication and effective follow-up to support vulnerable students and their families.

This role requires discretion, attention to detail and the ability to work calmly and professionally in a busy school environment where safeguarding is a priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and reporting student attendance and punctuality

  • Maintaining accurate attendance and behaviour records on the school MIS

  • Supporting safeguarding processes, referrals and documentation

  • Liaising with pastoral leaders, families and external agencies

  • Preparing reports for senior leaders and safeguarding meetings

  • Supporting attendance strategies and intervention processes

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in school administration, attendance or safeguarding support

  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Be confident handling sensitive information confidentially

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and families

  • Remain calm, empathetic and organised under pressure
