What the role involves
- Take ownership of a diverse audit portfolio, ensuring engagements are delivered to a consistently high technical and professional standard.
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a commercially aware adviser.
- Overseeing the delivery of multiple audit assignments simultaneously, balancing efficiency, quality and risk.
- Supporting the development of a small number of direct reports through coaching, feedback and mentoring.
- Coordinating resources and timelines to meet client expectations and wider operational priorities.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice by identifying opportunities within existing relationships and supporting pitch activity.
Skills and requirements
- ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Currently operating at Audit Manager level within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong working knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Proven experience managing multiple audits and competing deadlines.
