Autism Learning Mentor

The Autism Learning Mentor position centres on providing tailored support to autistic pupils within the classroom and wider school environment. It would suit someone who can bring a calm, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and learning to the role.

Who the work supports

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday What You Need Experience supporting children or young people, ideally with an Autism diagnosis. You’ll be valued as part of the wider team from day one, with access to shared training, clear progression routes, and regular opportunities to move into permanent employment after.

How support shows up

Provide tailored support to autistic pupils within the classroom and wider school environment. Implement personalised strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement, and learning. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, SLT, and on-site therapists to deliver consistent support.
