Autism Learning Support Assistant focuses on provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism.

What the role involves

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism.
• Supporting the delivery of personalised learning and behaviour plans.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting the pupil with personal care needs where required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
• Assisting with activities such as swimming sessions, including supporting pupils in changing rooms and in the pool.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience in a specialist or autism provision setting.
• Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
• Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles.
• All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
