Autism Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Driffield
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a primary school in Driffield.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with autism
  • Assist with classroom learning activities
  • Support communication and social interaction
  • Encourage routines and structured learning
  • Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff

Requirements

  • Experience supporting pupils with ASC preferred
  • Patient and nurturing approach
  • Primary school experience desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
