What the role involves

• Amazon is looking to hire an experienced Automation Engineer to join the team at our MME2 Fulfillment Center (FC) in Bowburn The Automation Engineer will ensure that Safety comes f.
• Preparing specifications and technical detail to fully define performance on equipment, material and services.
• Provide detailed analysis and testing of existing and new engineering solutions and components.
• Work with IT, FC Software and Operations Engineering to develop.
• Provide technical documentation such as flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets.
• Maintain electrical schematic and conveyor layout drawings.

Skills and requirements

• Experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
• Experience dealing with material handling, flow and capacity visualization and monitoring.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA or a similar platform and Human Machine Interface (HMI).
• Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming for Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys PLCs.
