Automation Maintenance Engineer

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Carry out root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Minimise operational downtime through effective fault-finding and repairs
• Ensure spare equipment ins maintained and recorded in line with asset management processes
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation efficiency
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
• Identify, report, and mitigate hazards, incidents, and accidents

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Electrical & Mechanical Engineering qualification – minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Electrical qualification
• Strong proven experience within engineering or automation environments
• Hands-on knowledge of warehouse automation systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Conveyors, Sortation systems
• Experience working in complex, fast-moving operations
