Job description

The Pharmacy team at Pulse are currently recruiting for a Band 5 MMT/ACT qualified Pharmacy Technician in Shrewsbury to support the dispensary. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm. This role is available to start ASAP; the starting pay rate for this job is up to £22.00 per hour all inclusive.

Payrate:  £19.00 – £22.00/h

Start Date: ASAP

Duration:  12 Weeks

Essential skills:

  • Experience of undertaking role of Medicines.
  • Management Pharmacy Technician within a hospital setting. (Drug taking histories, Patients own drug assessment, ordering, counselling).
  • Labelling and dispensing experience and knowledge of JAC computer system.
  • Holds the Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
  • 2 years NHS experience.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Ensure continuity of stock supplies to the wards.
  • Liaise with senior nurses and medical staff.
  • Liaise with the patient regarding treatment to ensure accurate contact details for delivery.
  • Screen prescriptions for NMABs and oral antiviral treatment.
  • Dispense oral medicines.
