This Band 6 Mental Health Nurse opportunity is built around collaborating with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including prison staff, psychologists, and social workers to ensure continuity of care. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Staff Nurse (RMN) to join the dedicated healthcare team at one of the Trust in Midlands. Be an experienced Band 6 RMN with Prison clearance and a strong understanding of working in secure settings.

Main responsibilities

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including prison staff, psychologists, and social workers to ensure continuity of care. Adhering to safeguarding policies and maintaining the security of the institution. Delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions for inmates.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified and Band 5 RMNs will not be considered due to the nature of the role.
  • Experience in secure environments and working with offenders.
  • Strong risk management and clinical reasoning skills.
