What the role involves

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments and interventions to clients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
  • Support workers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, occupational therapists.
  • Monitoring progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families/caregivers on self-management techniques and exercises for continued improvement.

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy.
  • Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience working in mental health or rehabilitation settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
