Spire Cardiff Hospital are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Pre‑Assessment team on a bank contract. This role is ideally suited to a motivated individual who is committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a safe, supportive, and professional hospital environment. Duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will support the delivery of a high‑quality and comprehensive nursing service to all patients, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times within a clean and safe environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the clinical team in the provision of exemplary patient care
  • Undertaking routine tasks related to patients’ health and wellbeing
  • Supporting and monitoring patients, escalating concerns where appropriate
  • Identifying and reporting any significant changes in a patient’s condition to the relevant clinician
  • Assisting with the safe movement and positioning of patients in line with hospital policies
  • Carrying out clinical duties including ECGs, phlebotomy, clinical observations, and basic nursing care
  • Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility
  • Who we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (or equivalent) within a clinical environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑focused approach
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare (desirable)
  • Proven experience in ECGs, phlebotomy, clinical observations, and basic nursing care (essential)
  • Contract:- Bank

    Working Hours:- Monday -Friday 08:00 - 16:00
