Behaviour Mentor — Inclusion & Student Wellbeing focuses on providing targeted 1:1 mentoring for students with behavioural or emotional needs.

What the role involves

  • Providing targeted 1:1 mentoring for students with behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Delivering small group sessions focused on resilience, emotional literacy, confidence, and social interaction.
  • Supporting students in lessons to improve focus, engagement, and behaviour.
  • Assisting pupils during unstructured times such as breaks, lunch, and movement between lessons.
  • Supporting students during emotionally challenging moments and helping them self-regulate.
  • De-escalating situations calmly using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people.
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • School-based behaviour or pastoral experience.

Confirmed role details

  • £95–£125 per day (experience dependent).
  • Full-time, long-term, term-time only.

Additional role context

  • Secondary School (KS3–KS5).
  • As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, emotions, and engagement with learning.
