Behaviour Mentor — Inclusion & Student Wellbeing focuses on providing targeted 1:1 mentoring for students with behavioural or emotional needs.
What the role involves
- Providing targeted 1:1 mentoring for students with behavioural or emotional needs.
- Delivering small group sessions focused on resilience, emotional literacy, confidence, and social interaction.
- Supporting students in lessons to improve focus, engagement, and behaviour.
- Assisting pupils during unstructured times such as breaks, lunch, and movement between lessons.
- Supporting students during emotionally challenging moments and helping them self-regulate.
- De-escalating situations calmly using restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
Skills and requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people.
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
- School-based behaviour or pastoral experience.
Confirmed role details
- £95–£125 per day (experience dependent).
- Full-time, long-term, term-time only.
Additional role context
- Secondary School (KS3–KS5).
- As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, emotions, and engagement with learning.
