Behaviour Mentor — Pastoral Intervention & Student Development
Teaching Assistant focuses on providing 1:1 behavioural mentoring for identified students.
What the role involves
- Providing 1:1 behavioural mentoring for identified students.
- Delivering small group interventions focusing on emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and social skills.
- Supporting students in lessons to promote engagement, focus, and positive behaviour.
- Assisting students during transitions, break times, and lunch periods.
- Supporting students experiencing emotional distress or behavioural dysregulation.
- De-escalating challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Skills and requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
- Previous Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant experience.
Confirmed role details
- School Type: Secondary School with Sixth Form (KS3–KS5).
- £95–£125 per day (dependent on experience).
- Full-time, long-term, term-time only.
- Clear progression routes within education and pastoral care.
