Teaching Assistant focuses on providing 1:1 behavioural mentoring for identified students.

What the role involves

  • Providing 1:1 behavioural mentoring for identified students.
  • Delivering small group interventions focusing on emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and social skills.
  • Supporting students in lessons to promote engagement, focus, and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting students during transitions, break times, and lunch periods.
  • Supporting students experiencing emotional distress or behavioural dysregulation.
  • De-escalating challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Previous Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant experience.
