A large and inclusive secondary school in Ashington, Northumberland is looking for a calm and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with students who need additional behavioural support
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support students in managing emotions and staying regulated
  • Help de-escalate situations in a calm and consistent manner
  • Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students

You’ll play a key role in helping students stay in class, stay engaged, and make progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
