Job description

As a Teaching Assistant, the work centres on supporting students with complex behavioural needs to engage with their education and personal development. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

Who the work supports

We are currently recruiting for Behavioural Support Assistants to join our partner schools, providing tailored support to students with complex behavioural needs. Day Rate: £92.63-100 PAYE Contract: Mon-Friday 8:30-3:30.

How support shows up

Supporting students with complex behavioural needs to engage with their education and personal development. Promote a safe and nurturing environment by helping students manage their behaviour in a constructive way. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure that students’ needs are met.

What needs to be in place

  • Relevant qualifications in education, health, or social care (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification, NVQ, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in a behaviour support role, ideally within an education or care setting (experience in SEND is desirable but not essential).
