Job description
This Behaviour Support Mentor role is focused on you could be the person to build strong, trusted relationships with young people who need a little extra support to engage and thrive in a school environment. It would suit someone who can bring patience, clear communication, and respectful care standards to the role.
Who the work supports
Working 1:1 with pupils, supporting behavioural and emotional needs. Working alongside teachers and staff to implement behaviour strategies.

You could be the person to build strong, trusted relationships with young people who need a little extra support to engage and thrive in a school environment. Supporting from a consultant that genuinely cares. Supporting pupils to feel safe and understood.

Handling shift-by-shift responsibilities with consistency and care. A calm, patient and resilient approach.
What needs to be in place
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
Job details
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- Additional detail: Weekly pay may be available.
