This Behaviour Support Practitioner SO2 opportunity is built around supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Role overview
This is a 1 year contract working as part of a team delivering the Empowering Families and Networks in Enfield project. The Behaviour Support Practitioner will: Work shifts flexibly between the hours of 8am – 11pm Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
Main responsibilities
supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.
Requirements
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare and/or health and social care is desirable.
- Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekend.
- Experience of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with professionals, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory agen.
Job details
- Supporting children and young people in the home, the Centre, or in the community to give parents a break from their caring responsibilities.
- Providing specialist advice and support to families on the phone, or in person, to prevent escalation of behaviours of concern in challenging situations.
- Working intensively with parents, carers, and school settings to embed strategies and interventions that affect change, build skills, and develop resilience.
