Behaviour Support Worker
Location: St Helens
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £95-£110 per day
Start Date: February
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support Worker for a well-regarded SEMH provision in St Helens. You will be working in a 1 to 1 capacity with students who have complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students often come from traumatic backgrounds and are disengaged with mainstream education.
This school supports secondary aged students and looks for trauma informed approaches.
Due to the nature of the students, you must be comfortable managing emotional dysregulation, challenging behaviour, and maintain a level of calmness when faced with aggression.
This is a position where you’ll have to manage high levels of challenging behaviour, this can include both verbal and physical aggression depending on the needs of the young person.
