Bid Writing Manager focuses on partner with business development managers to create compelling quality responses throughout every stage of the bid process.
What the role involves
- Partner with Business Development Managers to create compelling quality responses throughout every stage of the bid process.
- Driving continuous improvement of bid templates, processes and submission standards across the Business Development team.
- Coordinating internal reporting, progress meetings, approval papers and Investment Committee submissions to keep bids on track and fully governed.
- Work closely with departments including Fleet, HR, IT and Procurement to ensure technical content remains relevant, accurate and up to date.
- No Bid decisions alongside senior leadership, helping prioritise the strongest commercial opportunities.
- Develop the Bid Writing team while maintaining a strong library of model answers, case studies and best practice content across Municipal Services.
Skills and requirements
- Degree educated or equivalent qualification, with strong written English skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience within a tendering, bidding or pricing environment, with a track record of producing successful submissions.
- Strong ability to write clear, persuasive and high quality bid content within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the waste industry or wider environmental services sector would be highly advantageous.
