ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and qualified BSL (British Sign Language) Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to primary and secondary-aged pupils in Havering who are currently unable to attend school.

This Outreach Tutor role is ideal for a BSL specialist who is looking to step away from the traditional classroom setting and provide personalised, engaging lessons that support both academic progress and communication development. You will:

  • Create, plan and deliver 1:1 BSL-focused lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs
  • Bridge gaps in education and boost engagement, confidence, and attainment

  • Reintroduce structure and routine into their daily learning
  • Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles
