BTEC Tech Awards Sept 22 - Construction - Principal Moderator focuses on writing the pearson set assignment, attend the question paper evaluation committee meeting (qpec) and produce a final draft.
What the role involves
- Writing the Pearson Set Assignment, attend the Question Paper Evaluation Committee meeting (QPEC) and produce a final draft.
- Compile exemplar work, annotated to show how the assessment criteria are to be applied both for standardisation tasks, and published documents.
- Advise members on how the Pearson Set Assignment functioned and recommend preliminary mark ranges for the judgemental grade boundaries.
- Be involved in the awarding process.
- O The successful candidate should have some experience in both fields, though emphasis will be placed on Carpentry & Joinery, as this represents the bulk of registrations.
- O The successful candidate should be able to present construction related drawings using a CAD or equivalent drafting package.
Skills and requirements
- Available to attend a variety of digital meetings, for a minimum of 10-13 non-consecutive day long events.
- O Some meetings are fixed/do not have flexibility to be reorganised.
- You are ineligible for this role if you are currently teaching this component.
- Applicants must have a teaching qualification and a minimum of one full academic year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area/sector within the last 8 years.
