Building Services Mechanical Engineer focuses on delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical assets.

What the role involves

  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical assets.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs within agreed response times, ensuring accurate completion of all documentation.
  • Maintaining plant rooms, equipment and systems in line with compliance standards and Mitie procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, subcontractors and the client to support safe and effective service delivery.

Skills and requirements

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in relevant mechanical disciplines.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience working in a multi‑skilled building services or mechanical maintenance role.
  • Unvented hot water qualification, with experience maintaining hot water and heating systems, chillers, air conditioning or refrigeration plant.

Confirmed role details

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:30).
  • Normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years (CTC) or 5 years (SC).
