Business Analyst

Business Analyst focuses on working across all phases of the project lifecycle, using appropriate business analysis methodologies and tools to support the successful delivery of project goals.

What the role involves

• Working across all phases of the project lifecycle, using appropriate business analysis methodologies and tools to support the successful delivery of project goals.
• Provide business value.
• Conducting business analysis activities including early design discussions, shaping and scoping the project ensuring that requirements are fully developed.
• Assessing and modelling processes, data flows and technology to understand the current value and issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensuring the business requirements are analysed fully with appropriate engagement from the business and technical teams, including data analysis where required.
• Creating technical documentation to assist developers and designers to think.

Skills and requirements

• Have the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and external customers and have an awareness of change management, data modelling and lean techniques.
• Have previous experience working as a Business Analyst and experience analysing the alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
• A Business Analysis certification from BCS or equivalent is highly desirable.
