Business Continuity Manager

who will be responsible for ensuring that Ocado Logistics’ critical operations can continue during and after any disruptive events, such as technology outages, supply chain interruptions, or environmental crises. As a Business Continuity Manager, you will focus on building resilience into both our day-to-day operations and future growth plans, ensuring that the business can swiftly recover from unforeseen events and continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers. This role is a key strategic role, responsible for the overall direction and success of our Business Continuity Management framework. You will:

Develop, implement and maintain the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework across all business units. Collaborate with operational teams, technology divisions, and the supply chain to ensure robust continuity plans are in place, they are integrated with existing processes and consistent with other documentation. Perform risk assessments and business impact analysis to identify critical business processes and potential risks that could disrupt operations. Develop recovery strategies for identified risk areas and integrate them into overall continuity plans. Lead internal crisis management and incident response efforts, coordinating meetings and actions to ensure timely and effective response to an incident. Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders during business disruption, ensuring timely and accurate communication between the leadership team, incident teams, employees and other key stakeholders. Coordinate post incident reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, and update documentation and processes accordingly. Ensure that business continuity practices comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices such as ISO 22301. Coordinate regular business continuity and crisis management exercises to ensure plans are effective, and stakeholders are prepared to respond to an incident. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including suppliers and third party vendors, to ensure they have appropriate continuity plans in place and coordinate responses to large-scale incidents. About you:

Proven experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), preferably within a technology-driven, fast-paced organisation. Strong knowledge of BCM frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 22301, NIST). Understanding of risk management principles, particularly in a logistics, retail, or ecommerce environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting risk assessments and business impact analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments, including senior leadership. Ability to quickly assess a situation and make critical decisions under pressure. Experience in testing Crisis Management and Incident Response exercises. Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements related to business continuity. Knowledge of technology infrastructure and its role in business continuity planning, especially related to automated processes, robotics, and cloud-based services. Leadership and project management skills to drive business continuity initiatives across large, complex organisations.
