CAD Technician (AutoCAD)

CAD Technician focuses on produce detailed 2d construction drawings and 3d models from concept to fabrication.

What the role involves

• Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D models from concept to fabrication.
• Translate creative briefs, sketches, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings.
• Work closely with designers, project managers, and workshop teams.
• Ensure drawings are practical and reflect real-world build constraints.
• Create structural details and assembly drawings for bespoke scenic elements.
• Manage drawing packages as projects progress.

Skills and requirements

• Strong understanding of construction drawings (this is not a design role).
• Experience working with scenic builds, set construction, or similar environments.
• Confident communicator across technical and creative teams.
• Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or SolidWorks is advantageous.
