Care Assistant focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.

What the role involves

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Assisting with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Supporting the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Skills and requirements

  • Deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
