Careers Consultant (Professional Development)

Careers Consultant focuses on provide senior medical cover in our 22 bed neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries.

What the role involves

• Provide senior medical cover in our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries.
• Leading on the provision of high quality care to the service users admitted to Cygnet Pindar House.
• Leading the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance within the service.
• Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers’ hearings & attend hearings.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Justice for transfer of patients and approval of leave as required.
• To communicate effectively through regular contact with patients, relatives, staff, directors, and any other concerned bodies.

Skills and requirements

• Undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
