What the role involves

• Carrying out carpentry repairs and maintenance on domestic properties.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining doors, frames, skirting boards, kitchens, and other timber fixtures.
• Completing associated multi-trade works where required.
• Providing a high level of customer service to residents.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency repairs.

Skills and requirements

• Must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent).
• Must have a full UK manual driving licence.
• Must have previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience.
• A Carpenter Multi-Trade is required, working for a reputable local contractor in partnership with a local council.
