About the Role:
We are currently seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and hard-working Catering Assistants to support our client’s schools in and around the Weston-super mare area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is passionate about providing nutritious meals to children.
As this role is based within a school, an Enhanced DBS is required. If you do not currently have one, we can assist you in applying for one for £61.50, or provide the necessary information for you to apply independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff
Ensure kitchen and food service areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
Support with washing up, clearing tables, and general kitchen duties
Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards in line with school policies
Set up the dining area and help manage queues during service times
Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff
Essential Requirements:
A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service environment is desirable
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to the needs of the school
A positive attitude and willingness to take on varied duties as required
