- Cook, and present meals to a high standard.
- Plan menus in line with nutritional guidelines and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and stock rotation.
- Support Catering Assistants and kitchen staff.
Skills and requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery, Catering, or equivalent.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (Level 3 preferred).
- Willingness to undergo background checks (DBS).
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in care homes, hospitals, or contract catering.
