What the role involves
- Cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with standard recipes and client specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, managing and training junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Assisting in implementing cost control measures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Assisting the Sous Chef or Head Chef in day-to-day duties.
Skills and requirements
- Assist with stock control, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available as required.
- Maintain essential knife skills and a sound knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen, preferably in airline catering or large-scale food production.
- 3+ years’ experience in a kitchen environment.
