What the role involves

  • Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services ensuring minimal wastage. Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
  • Following recipe cards to prepare.
  • Serve a range of meals.
  • Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
  • Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant kitchen, service, hygiene, supervisory, or hospitality experience may be useful.

Confirmed role details

  • Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including 1 in 3 weekends.
  • Range between 06:30 and 19:00.
  • Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team working at Claro Barracks, Ripon HG4 2RD.
  • Be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards.
