The approach that fits

Supporting children or young people through routines, care, and lesson-by-lesson consistency in a residential setting. Calm, dependable, and steady in a child-focused residential setting.

What needs to be in place

• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be en.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
