Children's Occupational Therapist focuses on would include occupational therapy assessment, observation and creating therapeutic support plans and goals for the children and young people.
What the role involves
- Would include occupational therapy assessment, observation and creating therapeutic support plans and goals for the children and young people.
- Advising on specialist equipment needed to include domestic and workplace environmental alterations.
- Opportunities to work alongside other therapists, to ensure the best outcome for the individual.
Skills and requirements
- Must be able to plan engaging and developmentally age appropriate therapeutic sessions.
- Liaising as required with other professionals.
- Providing support and coaching to care staff regarding the therapeutic needs of students and residents.
- Some experience of working with children is desirable.
Confirmed role details
- Salary negotiable depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday (Term Time Only may be considered) with some flexibility around hours to support the provision of Occupational Therapy.
- Equivalent of 5.6 weeks annual leave per year pro rata.
- Free Onsite parking and free lunch/meals provided.

- The trust offers additional training within the areas of trauma informed care, family work, Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and Sensory Integration Education Network Module 1.
