• Leading the daily operation of a regulated children’s residential service.
• Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Driving continuous improvement across safeguarding.
• Overseeing staff recruitment, supervision, training, appraisals, and rota management.
• Maintaining robust systems for incident reporting, risk assessments, and documentation.
• Monitoring service performance using audits, action plans, and compliance frameworks.

Skills and requirements

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services, or willingness to complete.
• Significant management experience within a children’s residential setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and inspection readiness.
• Experience using care management systems, compliance trackers, and electronic recording platforms.
