Children's Registered Manager focuses on provide full operational and strategic leadership across the children’s residential home.
What the role involves
- Provide full operational and strategic leadership across the children’s residential home.
- Ensure the home consistently meets Children’s Homes Regulations , Quality Standards , and safeguarding expectations.
- Leading on referrals, placement decisions, admissions, and matching to ensure the right environment for each child.
- Overseeing safeguarding practice, incident management, behavioural support, and risk reduction.
- Maintaining clear oversight of care plans, case records, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Develop strong partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, therapists, education teams, and families.
Skills and requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services , or equivalent.
- Strong management experience within a regulated children’s residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and children’s residential legislation.
- Experience leading teams within complex or multi-agency care environments.
