Civil Design Engineer focuses on be responsible for and undertake design or elements of design, with appropriate support and supervision.

What the role involves

• Be responsible for and undertake design or elements of design, with appropriate support and supervision.
• Managing or contribute to management of the technical, financial and management requirements of projects.
• Play an active part in the project assurance process, including taking part in technical reviews.
• Provide a client focused service which results in on-going satisfaction and repeat business.
• Build effective relationships within teams across the organisation.
• Overseeing and direct the work of junior team members.

Skills and requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree and/or master’s degree.
• Relevant Experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering.
• To understand and have experience of relevant standards and guidance.
• A knowledge of road design using 3D computer modelling packages, such as Civil 3D.
