What the role involves

  • Supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitoring use of materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Reporting shortages, delays, or equipment issues to the Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of site activities in coordination with Project Managers and Foremen.
  • Report delays or issues, and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.

Skills and requirements

  • Valid UK CSCS card (or equivalent) for site access and verification of competence.
  • Hands-on experience supervising site teams, subcontractors, and operatives on larger civil engineering projects.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
