The Role
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Client Relationship Manager to join their established advisory team.
This role involves managing and servicing a portfolio of existing clients, delivering financial planning support through both virtual and face-to-face meetings. You will play a key role in supporting clients with ongoing financial advice, carrying out research and analysis, and ensuring all advice is delivered efficiently and in line with regulatory standards.
Duties will include:
Managing and servicing a portfolio of existing clients
Conducting regular client review meetings both remotely and face-to-face
Assessing clients’ financial circumstances, objectives, attitude to risk and capacity for loss
Reviewing and evaluating existing financial arrangements
Carrying out financial research, due diligence and analysis
Completing calculations relating to pensions, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax
Reviewing provider illustrations, applications and fund information
Identifying opportunities for new business and cross-referrals across the wider group
Overseeing post-review actions delegated to the support team
Monitoring client fee arrangements
Maintaining regular communication with clients through to completion of actions
Responding to ad-hoc client servicing requests
Maintaining accurate client records using the internal back-office system
Liaising with clients and third-party providers as required
Supporting advisers with new client enquiries when required
Preparing suitability reports across a range of financial planning areas
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and continuing professional development The successful candidate:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within Financial Services
Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
Previous experience within senior administration or paraplanning roles
Diploma qualified (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic Desirable:
Experience working with private wealth clients, corporate clients or trusts
Experience dealing directly with clients in face-to-face or virtual meetings
Working towards Chartered status
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
