What the role involves

• Manage common and complex eye conditions.
• Independently perform YAG laser capsulotomy procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for ophthalmic patients.
• Identify and refer patients requiring specialist or surgical intervention beyond scope.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, clinical governance, and safety procedures.

Skills and requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience working in outpatient ophthalmology clinics or private practice.
• Certification or training in ophthalmology (e.g., diploma or postgraduate qualification).
