What the role involves
- Be a source of highly specialist clinical and educational knowledge and will provide clinical supervision.
- Previous experience in clinical education is highly recommended, but not essential.
- We want to support you to work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you.
- Need to lead and take continuing responsibility for the in-service development of all nursing staff working on the ward.
- To provide leadership and motivation to establish clinical practices, which is research/evidence-based.
- Lead to standard setting and regular audit in line with the Trust’s commitment to Clinical Governance.
Skills and requirements
- The candidate will need to have some clinical experience of the conditions frequently seen on the ward , in order to deliver tailored support and education for our staff.
- Knowledge of local, regional, and national policies pertaining to practice experience and education.
- Understanding of the principles of teaching and learning their application within the practice setting.
- Knowledge of recruitment, selection and disciplinary procedures.
