What the role involves

  • Be a source of highly specialist clinical and educational knowledge and will provide clinical supervision.
  • Previous experience in clinical education is highly recommended, but not essential.
  • We want to support you to work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you.
  • Need to lead and take continuing responsibility for the in-service development of all nursing staff working on the ward.
  • To provide leadership and motivation to establish clinical practices, which is research/evidence-based.
  • Lead to standard setting and regular audit in line with the Trust’s commitment to Clinical Governance.

Skills and requirements

  • The candidate will need to have some clinical experience of the conditions frequently seen on the ward , in order to deliver tailored support and education for our staff.
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and national policies pertaining to practice experience and education.
  • Understanding of the principles of teaching and learning their application within the practice setting.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, selection and disciplinary procedures.
