What the role involves

  • Managing the prescription request workflow.
  • Managing complex face to face medication reviews with an emphasis on seeing patients with polypharmacy, deprescribing, and opiate prescribing.
  • Managing network quality activities such as sharing best practice and cross-network audit.
  • Manage medicines optimisation services within the network practices.
  • Provide leadership on quality improvement and clinical audit as well as managing aspects of medicines safety and antibiotic stewardship.
  • Supporting the management of patients with long-term conditions.

Skills and requirements

  • Holding an independent prescribing qualification.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
