What the role involves
- Managing the prescription request workflow.
- Managing complex face to face medication reviews with an emphasis on seeing patients with polypharmacy, deprescribing, and opiate prescribing.
- Managing network quality activities such as sharing best practice and cross-network audit.
- Manage medicines optimisation services within the network practices.
- Provide leadership on quality improvement and clinical audit as well as managing aspects of medicines safety and antibiotic stewardship.
- Supporting the management of patients with long-term conditions.
Skills and requirements
- Holding an independent prescribing qualification.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
