What the role involves

  • Delivering high quality, complex MRI imaging, taking responsibility for patient assessment, protocol selection and image optimisation.
  • Provide day‑to‑day clinical leadership within MRI, supervising radiographers, assistants and students, and supporting a positive learning environment.
  • Take an active role in running the MRI modality, contributing to service flow, problem solving and decision making in the absence of the modality lead.
  • Ensure full compliance with radiation legislation, local rules, infection prevention, governance and HCA UK policies.
  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, with HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
