CNC Setter/Operator | Rochdale, Greater Manchester | Full Time | £16.45/hr + Overtime + 6% Pension + Early Finish Friday

Requirements

Essential

• Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator
• Ability to set machines independently from setup sheets
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Ability to carry out self-inspection using micrometres, verniers, and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work

Desirable

• Experience with Mazak CNC lathes and/or Haas machining centres
• Previous experience within a precision engineering environment

The Role

• Carry out full machine setup from working setup sheets
• Set tooling, offsets, and fixtures
• Operate Mazak CNC lathes and Haas machining centres
• Produce precision components in low to medium batch quantities
• Work to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards
• Perform self-inspection to ensure components meet specifications
• Manage your own workload to ensure efficient production
• Work independently while contributing to a busy machining department
