We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Fabricator/Panel Beater to join our client’s team in Long Bennington! The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and fabricating body panels and structural components for commercial vehicles, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair damaged commercial vehicle panels using appropriate tools and techniques
Carrying out welding repairs on chassis, trailer frames, and body structures
Repairing structural damage, cracks, and fatigue failures
Fabricate and modify metal components to restore vehicle structures
Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist fabrication equipment
Align and fit panels to manufacturer specifications
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and filling
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and production targets Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a commercial panel beater and/or fabricator
Strong knowledge and experience of metal fabrication and repair techniques
Experience with MIG/TIG welding and fabrication tools
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks
