This is a reputable advertising and PR communications agency based in central London. They partner with an impressive portfolio of global brands to help deliver impactful digital marketing, creative campaigns, and strategic PR solutions.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a part-qualified Commercial Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative business at the forefront of brand communications.

Role

The Commercial Management Accountant will support with business partnering to divisional heads, ensuring compliant revenue recognition, working-capital discipline, accurate reporting, and high-quality financial insight that drives performance.

Their key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial guidance on pricing, profitability, budgeting and performance.
  • Monitor project and client performance against budgets, forecasts and scope, proactively identifying risks and protecting margins.
  • Deliver financial insight and analysis, including KPIs, variance reporting and business review packs to support decision-making.
  • Lead revenue recognition processes, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Drive working capital performance, improving billing, reducing aged debt.
  • Manage WIP processes effectively.
  • Oversee month-end reporting and forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Support process improvement, audit requirements and training to strengthen controls and commercial understanding across the business.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Commercial Management Accountant position should have the following:

  • Proficiency in preparing management accounting packs and owning month-end cycles (min 3+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and WIP practices.
  • Part-qualified accountant and actively studying (ACCA/CIMA etc.)
  • Ability to business partner confidently with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience within a project based environment/industry would be highly advantageous
