What the role involves

  • Accurately measuring ingredients to support the chef de partie.
  • Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping produce, and seasoning various meats.
  • Assisting in the preparation of basic salads and sauces according to the chef de partie’s instructions.
  • Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure all items are complete and meet quality standards.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and informing the supervisor when supplies are running low.
  • Safely discarding expired or spoiled food from storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.

Skills and requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 Culinary or equivalent, Food hygiene certificate – Level 2.

Confirmed role details

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 07:00am to 15:00pm.
  • Immediate start.
