Community Dietitian - Diabetes
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 HCPC registered Dietitian to support the NHS Highland Diabetes Dietetic Team for 12 months. This post will work within the NHS Highland Community Dietetic Service with support from the Diabetes MDT.
This post provides a service to adults attending diabetes outpatient clinics, including both one to one and group work. Workload is varied with referrals being generated from those requiring insulin, including providing a service to our insulin pump clinic and maternity services. This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate your skills in diabetes care and be a valued member of the MDT.
We are keen to develop innovative and trauma informed approaches to health and wellbeing, especially in regard to Diabetes and weight; this takes a compassionate stance and recognises the impact of life circumstances on health outcomes.
You would be expected to participate in student training and provide clinical support for other dietitians as part of the Community Dietetic Team.
We are strongly committed to training, support for CPD and clinical governance, we actively participate in annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.
We would welcome applications from appropriately experienced dietitians with excellent communication and team working skills who are committed to working as part of a dedicated MDT to deliver high quality care.
