Compliance Manager
Compliance Manager focuses on leading development, implementation, and monitoring of site health, safety, environmental, and quality (sheq) systems in line with statutory and corporate requirements.
What the role involves
- Leading development, implementation, and monitoring of site health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) systems in line with statutory and corporate requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive risk assessments and safe systems of work across waste processing and AD operations ( confined spaces, COSHH, biological agents, pressure systems).
- Managing incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing emergency preparedness and response, including fire safety, gas risks, and environmental incidents.
- Delivering SHEQ training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Permits, Planning Conditions, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and requirements
- Experience in waste management, recycling, or anaerobic digestion environments (desirable).
- Proven ability to manage environmental permits.
- Maintain effective regulator relationships.
- Support site teams while managing conflict and driving positive outcomes.
